When is nap time?

Happy Saturday everyone!

I want to introduce my new friend, Amber, from When is Naptime? Along with being a great blogger, she is a wife and mommy to two little boys (with a third little one on the way)! Her blog shares about the life of her family, health and beauty tips, crafts and fun kids things. Read more about her below or just head on over to her blog and see for yourself!

Why did you start blogging and how did you decide on "When is Nap Time?”

Hi everyone my name is Amber and I blog over at WhenIsNapTime.com.  I started blogging in April at the suggestion of a fellow blogger and instantly fell in love!  I am a stay-at-home-mom of two awesome boys ages 2 ½ and 4 ½ so when it was time to pick a name for my blog I looked at my husband and asked “when is nap time?” he smiled and said perfect and When Is Nap Time was born!

What has blogging taught you so far?

I still consider myself a fairly new blogger but I have definitely learned a lot since I started!  I am more outgoing and a lot less self-conscious of my writing.  I have learned that if you don’t push your limits and put yourself out there you will never know what you are capable of!

Any advice for new bloggers?

For any new bloggers my best advice would be to make as many connections as you can!  Follow other bloggers, join groups, and look for local blogging events in your area.  Meet as many people as you can and be genuine with them.

Are you a Christmas after Halloween person or it needs to wait until after Thanksgiving?

My birthday is on Thanksgiving so honestly it is my favorite holiday!  There’s no way I’m skipping that one!  I do however live in a neighborhood known for its Christmas decorations and the light tours start on Thanksgiving night.  Most of our neighbors have started getting their lights together but we always wait until Thanksgiving weekend to do ours.

How has having kids changed the way you tackle the holidays?

Having kids has taught me the importance of holidays and not rushing through them.  Everything goes so fast when you have kids that I have learned it’s important to savor every moment you can.

Any tips for new parents?

If this is your little one’s first holiday season, my best advice is to soak it all in!  Take tons of pictures and don’t try to do everything.  Just enjoy the time spent with your family and make some memories.

Any Christmas traditions in your house?

One of my favorite holiday traditions that we have started just since having kids is Christmas Eve. That night we each open a present.  It’s always new jammies!  Then the kids also get a movie and snacks in their box.  We all change and get cozy in our new jammies and snuggle up on the couch and watch our new movie.  It’s such a great way to just be together before the craziness of Christmas sets in the next day!

That's all for today. I am currently freezing my booty off at a football game so do something warm!
